Clinic Introduction
Clinic: O In Plastic Surgery Clinic (Plastic Surgery, Gangnam-gu, Seoul)
Hello. I am Dr. Wi Seung-yun, a plastic surgeon. At O In Plastic Surgery Clinic, we provide medical care with a heart, taking care of our patients and their families from consultation to post-operative care. We avoid unnecessary surgeries and carefully explain the necessary procedures to our patients.
We have developed a method to remove the square-shaped jawbone and muscles behind the ear using only local anesthesia, requiring only 3 centimeters of incision. For patients who need a facial contouring procedure, we can perform three types of surgery, including a procedure that covers the forehead, nose, and chin, all at once, without general anesthesia, and patients can return to work within a week.
For patients who have undergone excessive square-shaped jawbone or forehead bone removal, resulting in an unpleasant appearance (a "boxy" jaw), we use a 3D printer to reconstruct the area behind the ear or inside the mouth, providing a precise and natural-looking result without general anesthesia.
Based on our experience with facial contouring surgery behind the ear, we have developed a method to remove the submandibular gland (salivary gland) through a 3-centimeter incision, reducing the gland permanently. We also remove the sublingual gland while correcting the double chin, creating a sleek line from the chin to the neck. This procedure does not require general anesthesia, and patients can return to work within two days.
For patients who want to achieve a more youthful appearance but are hesitant to undergo surgery due to concerns about returning to work quickly, we offer a mini-facelift procedure that lifts the skin without making a large incision. By pulling the SMAS layer (a layer of tissue beneath the skin) behind the ear, we can prevent the risk of a "boxy" jaw and lift the jawline, creating a more defined and youthful appearance.
You can try this effect yourself by gently pulling the skin in front of your face upwards. This effect can be achieved with just a 3-centimeter incision behind the ear. The procedure requires only local anesthesia and can be completed within an hour.
