Clinic Introduction
Hello. I am Dr. Lee Gi-il, the representative director of Ollim Eye Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul. As an ophthalmologist who has served as a professor at New York State University and St. Mary's Hospital in Seocho, I have been consistently working to provide patients with a clear and bright world. Through direct consultations with patients who have suffered from explosion accidents, diabetes-related retinal diseases, and cataracts and glaucoma simultaneously, I have been able to help them recover their vision. I believe that the readers of this article are also seeking to explore the world with clearer and brighter vision. From patients who have lost their vision in both eyes due to accidents and have given up, to university students who want to live a life beyond glasses and contact lenses, I believe that everyone wants to see the world more clearly. Therefore, as a research professor at New York State University and an outpatient professor at St. Mary's Hospital in Seocho, I have been working hard to provide a brighter world to patients as follows: 1. I operate a dry eye clinic where I only see a limited number of patients per day and take responsibility for post-operative care, as the eye area determines a person's vision for their entire life with a single surgery. 2. As the representative director, I personally examine the eye condition and only recommend surgery if it is absolutely necessary. If I do not think surgery is necessary, I do not proceed with it. 3. I provide full coverage of medical fees for patients with disabilities, socially vulnerable individuals, and missionaries, and donate 10% of my profits. I believe that no one should lose their vision due to financial difficulties. 4. I operate an ophthalmology comprehensive examination center that can accept patients from children to the elderly. The American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends annual comprehensive eye examinations, and early detection of serious retinal diseases can help protect your vision. I have shortened the examination time from over two hours to 30 minutes. 5. I have equipped the clinic with large-scale medical equipment and facilities comparable to those of a major hospital, allowing patients to receive treatments for all eye-related diseases, including LASIK, PRK, cataracts, presbyopia, and glaucoma. Thanks to these efforts, the clinic is now not only popular in Seoul but also attracts patients from distant regions.
