Hello, I am Dr. Yoon Beom-hee, the representative director of Han-geu Dental Hospital, Seoul branch. After graduating from Yonsei University College of Dentistry, I started my career as an intern and resident at Severance Dental Hospital in Sinchon, and for over 17 years, I have treated countless patients. Based on the data I have accumulated so far, I am a specialist in preservation and restoration who is always thinking and researching ways to save teeth and solve pain. Dentistry has various specialties, including preservation and restoration, periodontology, prosthodontics, oral surgery, oral medicine, orthodontics, and more. Among them, preservation and restoration is known to be a less profitable and more difficult specialty to practice compared to others. However, I chose this specialty because it is the 'preservation and restoration of teeth.' There is nothing better for my body than my own teeth. Although reality may be harsh, I believe that preserving and saving teeth is very important, and I will continue to focus on this and conduct research in the future. I have three principles that I adhere to in order to provide practical help to as many patients as possible. First, I operate the hospital with a university hospital-style system, from diagnosis to treatment and post-treatment management, and provide high-level care with seven dental specialists in the fields of preservation and restoration, orthodontics, prosthodontics, periodontology, oral surgery, and integrated oral medicine. Second, I prioritize saving teeth, but I only recommend necessary treatments when they are absolutely necessary. I avoid unnecessary extractions followed by implants or excessive bone grafting. Third, I operate a high-level pain control system to allow patients to receive treatment without fear of the dentist, and I practice safe sedation dentistry with the cooperation of an anesthesiology specialist. Because I adhere to these principles, I am grateful to see patients from far away coming to see me, and I feel a greater sense of purpose as a doctor.
