For the past half century, Central University Hospital has been striving to advance medical development and improve public health. With a team of excellent medical professionals and specialized staff prioritizing customers above all else, the hospital provides the highest level of medical services, utilizing the latest robotic surgery system (Da Vinci Xi) and the first domestically introduced 256-channel iCT, PET-CT, MRI, and linear accelerator, among other state-of-the-art diagnostic infrastructure. To continually invest in this infrastructure, the hospital has been consistently making efforts to improve its facilities.

As a result of these efforts, the hospital has received the highest rating in the Emergency Medical Institution Evaluation, which is overseen by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, for four consecutive years since 2007. Following the implementation of the stroke patient treatment appropriateness evaluation in 2005, the hospital received the highest rating for three consecutive years in 2006, 2008, and 2010. Additionally, the hospital was selected as the top hospital in the medical institution evaluation for its excellent medical services in 2005 and 2007, solidifying its position as the top medical institution in the country.

Furthermore, through the 'Medical Institution Certification Evaluation' in 2011, which evaluates the level of medical services and the operational status of medical institutions, the hospital obtained medical institution certification from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, certifying its ability to provide high-quality medical services and patient safety.

Following the relocation of Yongsan Hospital in March 2011 and the opening of the Daechang-gwan, Central University Hospital was reborn with a new scale of 870 beds. The hospital has established customized infrastructure for thyroid diseases, realizing One-Stop Service as the top thyroid center in the country. With a patient-centered diagnostic system that allows for same-day examination results, the hospital has established a gastrointestinal center, a cardiovascular core research institute, a 24-hour emergency system for cardiovascular diseases, a neurosurgery department, an orthopedic surgery department, and a spinal center with a dynamic diagnostic system, among other specialized centers.

In 2017, the hospital achieved the top ranking in the nationwide comprehensive hospital evaluation, including top-tier general hospitals, in the patient experience evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the National Health Insurance Service. Through its leadership in Korean medicine over the past half century, the hospital has solidified its position as the top medical institution in the country, excelling in all areas of medical treatment, research, and education.

In addition, the hospital is equipped with the latest Da Vinci Xi and Da Vinci S robotic surgery systems, among other cutting-edge medical equipment, to provide the highest level of medical services to its patients.
