Clinic Introduction
Sejong Hospital is the only heart-specialized hospital in South Korea, established in 1982. Sejong Hospital has played a leading role in the field of cardiology since its inception, starting with the first percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in the private sector six months after its opening, followed by the successful heart transplant in 1994, and more recently, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO). As a designated heart-specialized hospital by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and a global medical institution that has passed the safety standards of the Joint Commission International (JCI), Sejong Hospital has 33 specialists, including adult cardiologists and pediatric cardiologists, who can provide accurate diagnoses, rapid treatment, and surgery or procedures. Furthermore, by operating the Sejong Cardiovascular Network, a nationwide network of hospitals that care for severe heart patients, Sejong Hospital is also a representative medical institution responsible for the hearts of the Korean people.
