Clinic Introduction
The clinic, Bestian Hospital, is a designated telemedicine hospital by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and a designated burn hospital by the Workers' Compensation and Welfare Corporation. It has received medical institution evaluation certification. Among the five designated telemedicine hospitals by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, three are Bestian. Located in Cheongju, Bestian Hospital was established in 2018 and operates as a subsidiary hospital of a public interest foundation affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, with the mission of taking responsibility for burn patients until the end. Bestian Hospital is the only designated burn hospital in the Daegu, Chungcheong region by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, providing systematic treatment divisions for adult burns, pediatric burns, and burn reconstruction, as well as high-quality and prompt treatment through its One-Stop service. This enables it to play a crucial role in the treatment of burns in the Republic of Korea, including North Chungcheong, South Chungcheong, North Jeolla, and Daegu regions. As a comprehensive hospital, Bestian Hospital operates internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedic surgery, and health check-up centers, and provides 24-hour emergency medical services through its emergency room, available 365 days a year. To ensure the rapid transportation of severely burned patients, Bestian Hospital is equipped with a heliport that allows all domestic helicopters in operation to land and take off within one hour, anywhere in the country. The hospital operates 30 beds in the severe burn center as single rooms and has introduced a two-block system structure to separate the flow of medical personnel and patient caregivers to prevent infection. Bestian has walked the path of burn treatment alone and exists for the sake of burn patients. Although the technology, personnel, and organization may change, the sense of mission towards burn patients remains unchanged.
